I posted something about the Yankees awhile back.
Now Bill Simmons on the NBA.

Pro players/celebs and many CEO's, while in their pursuit to get their cut due to the market are also helping in the undoing of what is around us.

Greed, greed and more greed.
Instead of 20 mil a year can't you survive on 10? Spread it around.

Bill Simmons is the greatest sports writer alive.

I read that article on Tuesday. Pretty amazing.

Speaking of pro sports being in trouble, I read an article today that said many Pro sports teams are in danger of collapse, especially in the NHL and the NBA. Baseball might be hurting as well. The NFL might be immune to the economic problems, but everyone else is vulberable.

Everybody has to quit spending like a drunk sailor and be practical.
From Manny Ramirez to Haynesworth(or more Dan Snyder) to Warner or whoever.
Rather than the cop out, the market dictates garbage, think past the end of your nose.
Same for Wall St guys.
Just because you can afford something does NOT mean you HAVE to get it.
Our values are all jacked up right now.

I saw the list of highest paid QBs this morning...unbelievable. Brady was like seventh and I think Manning was third. Carson Palmer is the highest paid quarterback in the NFL. Mind boggling.
