But what if you use all your picks? Shirley that would work!

Ask Dan Snyder.

Funny how Smitty is a "Panther for life" now that he knows he doesn't have trade value. He has a lot to prove to me and I am sure others in order to win our hearts back. The way he handled himself last year and then asking for a trade from a team that has given him support in his down times - will take time.

Ya I'm sure he felt the same way after all the good years, intensity, and loyalty he showed us and we left him a ditch to die basically with Clausen at qb and no other help from the coaches.

when the "lights come on" some people shrink up and can't preform.

Does this sound more like Cam, or Jimmy?

In the interview this morning he made no qualms of saying his family was the reason he was staying with Carolina, and that his family is more important than his work.

I think he probably has plenty of trade value and that they were working on that but stopped pursuing anything once he told them he'd stay.

When he made this comment he was talking about his "haters" that think he has lost a step. I was talking about off the field. No doubt he can still play at a high level. He just needs to start following through with all his talk.

Believe what you want, but I don't buy it. In the real world you talk with your family FIRST, before requesting a trade which would require moving the whole family. You especially do this when you spouse is sick.

Do people here really think he cleaned out his locker and did everything he did, and all of a sudden after the trade didn't work out his family changed their mind and wanted to stay. If so, I have some swampland to sell you.

Do you really think Steve Smith is the most rational, level-headed person out there that would never act impulsively?

If so, I have some swampland to sell you.

FWIW, just before he said this he remarked, "Jimmy is doing well in practice, BUT..."

And he definitely said Santana, not Santonio...just listened to it.

i dont understand this view point.

He has handled himself like a pro. He didn't demand a trade. He went to the owner, whom he is close friends with, and asked for a trade. He only wants to be in a competitive situation. That really isnt much to ask. If your heart is broken over such little things, i suggest you check yourself into a mental institution, so your heart and feelings wont continue to be broke cause modern society as a whole.

Listen to the interview. The "Panther for Life" comment, according to Steve, means that he will always be a Panther. Even if he goes somewhere else. He really respects the organization and will always consider himself a Panther.

Julius Peppers was treated like the anti-Christ when he left by some .....and he legitimately handled himself like a pro.

end result is what matters....Smitty stayed, was a pro. If he left he would have been that little biznitch acting like a 2 yr old on the field most of 2010 who demanded out.
