True, but there still should be some connection of Cam to the Panthers.

People in New York City aren't going to be like, "Hey, there's Cam Newton! He was draft #1 overall by the Panthers, who are having a good year thus far!"

It's more or less going to be, "Hey, there's Cam Newton. He won a National Championship at Auburn. Where did he go again?"

...but I agree, if Cam is successful he's the kind of player that will attract others players to come here, just like Vick in Philly.

I've also questioned whether any major corporation would invest money on any player who plays in a somewhat small market. I'm hoping Cam is just big enough to get over that hurdle, sort of like Kevin Durant in Oklahoma City.

I still feel Charlotte is a bit above Oklahoma City. haha
