He's old...I never really thought he would get much consideration. The coaching staff is looking for young guys who can mature and develop with our young team....

I get that, but if there was any position we could take a hit in age and trade it for ability to start for the year, it's CB.

But then you're set back at the position next year when Allen leaves for a young guy you draft. If you get a young guy in this year and throw him to the wolves from the get go in a year that you don't expect to make a playoff run then maybe you've got a guy who's ready when Cam and the rest of our team is. This is a two and three year process not something happening over night people....

There were a couple decent ones but Allen was one of them, so that leaves just one.

Out of the younger guys I remember from yesterday, I would take Walter McFadden or Brandon Ghee, but it's a stretch to think they'd start (plus I think both of them were eligible for waivers and we didn't sign them, so they're prolly not on the radar either).

Unless we're moving Pugh to CB, I really hope this is who we'll bring in if they officially decided against Allen... He was my top priority at CB.

If Allen is out for age, also count out Lito Sheppard and about half of the remaining top tier free agents.
That leaves Randall Gay as the top talent.
