Thanks to Pitt and UConn.....my theory of Louisville not being a #1 is done...

...though I still think they AREN'T a #1 seed (but will be)

And fug, if Duke wins the ACC Tourney...how could they not be a #1?

i do not want ANY conference to ever have 3 teams as #1 seeds....all this talk about the big east getting 3 #1's is sickening to me. I say odd team out is UCONN. don't reward a 3rd place team in a conference when you still have Michigan St., Memphis, and *gulp* Dook playing strong and still can win their respective tournament (although I'm hoping Dook never gets that chance to win the ACC :D)

Right now the #1's are UNC, PITT, Lville, Mst.

Duke is a 2 seed in the midwest right now. BC a 9 seed, Maryland an 11 seed, Clemson a 7th seed, Wake is a 3rd seed, Flst is a 5th seed.

Biggest movers so far is Syracuse they are up to a 4th seed.

This is the latest Projection from Sportsline.

what about michigan state?

The home losses to PSU and N'western I think are what will keep that from happening, but provided they win the BTT, they should be in the discussion. (EDIT: and now out of it, Buckeyes up 16)

I think even if Duke wins tomorrow, your #1 seeds will be

Pitt

Carolina

Louisville

Memphis

In no particular order. I dont see how Memphis deserves one, but I think they will sneak in with that last one. #2 seeds

Uconn

Duke

Oklahoma

Michigan State

I would swap Uconn and Memphis, but I agree.

Right now, I'd say Pitt and UNC are the only sure things.

If Louisville wins the BE, then they should get one. Likewise an ACC title may be enough for Duke (moreso if Cuse wins the BE). UConn and Memphis could also get there, depending on what happens.

Personally I don't think it matters. We've kind of identified the top 8 seeds and who cares where they go from there. It just won't matter, getterdone...

Winning both reg. season and tourney in the BE = Louisville as the 3rd 1 (in the Midwest) with Pitt (East) and UNC (South)

If Duke wins, they're in the fray for the last 1, otherwise Memphis and UConn will be in the same regional (West), but who will be 1 and who will be 2?

If Duke wins, this would be my guess for top 2 seeds:

South: UNC and OU (or maybe Mizzou)

West: Duke and UConn

Midwest: Louisville and Mich St.

East: Pitt and Memphis

FSU wins the ACC

South: UNC, OU/MU

West: UConn, Memphis

Midwest: Louisville, MSU

East: Pitt, Duke

I think you're right, but I could see Uconn taking that Memphis seed...At the end of the day, Uconn and UNC held the number 1 spot for most of the season.

Is Lawson going to play in the tournament? That will play a major part in how I fill out my bracket.
