The Crazies and Dawn of the Dead are both better than the original.

I really love the Batman, Star Trek, and James Bond reboots/remakes.

Halloween was a good remake, I know a lot of people hate it but it's the kind of remake that I like. It keeps the original story while making some changes that makes it different and interesting to watch.

No way Halloween remake was better than the original. Just no way. The org Halloween was a game changer. Dirt cheap to make, minimal, almost Hitchcockian in pace and style.

I don't think that it is either, I just like it for what it is. They could have easily took the Nightmare on Elm Street route and make it a complete repackaging with no new added elements but they made it something different and I enjoyed it.

I also like the TCM remake and the F13 remake, because they're really just new installments in the series instead of retellings of the original story.

The new "Thing" is a prequel, not a remake (it's about what happened to the Swed...uh, Norwegians).

It looks like a reboot too. And we know how it's ends.

The video game made for a half-decent sequel honestly.
