my most recent take on it is that i really like the game. i enjoy online play and haven't had lag issues. MUT teams are a nice and interesting addition since my last madden purchase. there are minor issues as with every game but i really enjoy the game and im happy with the purchase.

It is the same as every year, but what are ya gonna do? It's a sports game, so it can get repetitive, but having Cam as your QB is great.

Yea roster updates make it worth buying with Cam as the QB, rated 81 now.
But game play is different than 11. Players a much faster, and LB's seem to jump 8 feet in the air.
The tackling is improved, but true gang tackle isn't there like I thought it would.
I am only just starting franchise mode, but people have said that it isn't as improved.
Online play is fun, I have played around ~20 games, have had little lag issues.
I would recommend it if you are die hard madden or football fan.

wow 81 for a rookie QB.. maybe he'll get to the mid to high 80's by the end of the season (which would be ridiculous if he did!)

Its pretty good if you're a Madden fan. There are little things that bug me about the game though. In franchise, its always raining with 20 mph winds. My MUT is rated 89 overall; I got the achievement for having a team rated 80 overall, but didn't get the achievement for creating a team. As someone else mentioned, it seems the linebackers jump into the stratosphere to knock down passes. But if you look at your replay, you'll see the pass you thought you lobbed was actually 6 feet off the ground. Defensive backs sometimes run through receivers. When they don't run through receivers, they move at warp speed when your receiver has a man beat.
The game speed is just awful - when you hand the ball off to your running back, he's at the LOS in like 0.03 seconds - not letting you hit the holes that the line opens. But when you're in the open field, its back to normal Madden speed.
