In his career, he is 40/74 from 50+. 50% does not mean he would 'definitely' make the kick.

Who said he'd 'definitely' make it? 54% is definitely worth the shot at points, though.

I would love to hear what Rivera has to say right about now.

Honestly, I don't know where people get this idea that Rivera is going to chew people out. he should be and I'll be frustrated if he doesn't, but I think he's too mild mannered.

one of the problems i have with him is his refusal to crack the whip, and it shows by how sloppy this team is. Constant penalties, not finishing drives or even halves, Rivera is smart, but he is just too relaxed and I'm not sure how i feel about it.

You're a mind reader? How do you know what I think Rivera is saying?

He might be giving the greatest rah rah win one for the Gipper speeches of all time right now.

Anyway, mild mannered coaches don't make a fumbler (Goodson) carry a ball around all day after fumbling in games.

guys, we have to realize, we're 0-2 for a reason... but the Jags aren't very good. We're still in this, as bad as we've looked.

Cam won't always throw for 400 yards. He's a rookie. Give him a break, he's going to look like a rookie sometimes.... by starting him, we've committed to the possibility of just not having consistency all the time. That's ok.

It's funny you bring that up because that is the highest percentage for a kicker that's been in the league 10+ years in NFL history.

So suddenly Kasay has a strong leg? He's always been super accurate, but the knock against him has been his leg strength.

I thought Stewie was down when I saw the first replay. His whole forearm touched, and the elbow is part of that. I'm pretty much the most objective poster here, so there's definitely a chance it was a legit call. Please stop with your tin foil hat, "the NFL wants us to lose", BS. That said...

We are playing horribly and deserve to be down. Letting MJD get that long run, letting Gabbert complete that TD pass, jumping offsides when they're punting, and Cam having a bad day. It's pretty pathetic. Hope they turn it around in the second half.

I still worry about this O-Line. When announcers comment about how slippery Newton is, and are amazed at how he got a pass off, you must remember if it's any QB other than Cam, Brees, or Vick, it's a sack. Keep that in mind. What that means is the O-Line isn't holding up the pocket AT ALL for our magical QB. Yes, he's off, but damn... give him a solid pocket! Also... whoever thought he'd easily throw for 400+ again is delusional. The Jags were like 12th against the pass and 5th against the run coming in. A bit early to talk about team stats but this whole board acted like they were the 80s Bucs or something. But losing to Gabbert? Inexcusable.

What did i tell you? The team is flat. Rivera didn't chew them out. he told them good half and to get out there and finish and gave them their orange slices.

Panthers seem to be playing down to the level of competition.
