Play calling always gets shitty after we cross the 50 and especially in the red zone.

I agree. Jags had two games to study about him where the last two didn't. Unfortuantly they were still able to stop our run game.

Today was our best day yet running the ball. We still were not great, but definitely better than the last two weeks. The run game was good enough to at least make the Jags think about it.

One thing that amazes me about Cam is the contrast between good and bad Cam (fortunately we've mostly seen good Cam) and how it can vary from series to series. When he's on, he looks as good as anyone, but when he misses his targets he misses BIG, man.

Another remarkable thing about the guy (and this is hugely encouraging) is nothing seems to rattle him, even the slightest bit. He can be playing like poo or playing great but every play is in the past and it's on to the next one. Love that about Cam.

Isn't that what gunslighters do? They are risk/reward people.

Yes, but the pressure of having to throw the ball 40 times a game does. Cam is doing great, but the run game will help him enjoy his playing time more.

I agree we need to try a little harder to establish a running game. In fact, I don't think we've tried at all to this point, and if we're going to win consistently we have to gain that balance. But I don't worry about Cam's psychology being asked to carry the offense, that kid's head is screwed on tight.

That's not what I was getting at, I was referring to his accuracy, not his confidence in taking risks.

In other words, I'm not saying "wow, I can't believe he just threw into triple coverage", more like, "wow, I can't believe he just threw that ball to the popcorn vendor".

Doesn't matter how he started. All that matters is how he finished it and that he didn't start doing even worse because his early performance. That is a winner in my book.

And Brady had 4 interceptions today.

Things happen from week to week. All in all, Cam did fine. Shaky start or not, he won, and he protected the football.

Given the opponents, this is actually what I expected last week's game to look like.

Conversely, I'd have expected last week's performance this week.

The NFL is the most unpredictable game there is. That's one of the things I love about it.

I think he wanted the win so much it was causing him to over-emphasize his throws, leading to those high passes.

Today for Cameron was a result of too much adrenaline, mixed with a healthy dose of frustration from the last two weeks. Sometimes you can control adrenaline and use it as a weapon. Other times adrenaline wins, and you can never quite get it right.

Pressing may come closest to what I am trying to say. He just never looked right. Until the end where he came alive, and once again showed why we are so excited around here.

A win is a win. We are only 1 game out of 1st. GOOOOO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like what I've seen from Newton so far, but one thing Im happy/sad about is scrambling. I like that he does keep his eyes down the field, but a few times in all 3 games I thought there was more yards to be had by running it. Hes outplayed my expectations so much, that I started getting mad when he was high on some balls. Knew that would happen after two good weeks with a few bad throws.. Im glad we got the win, and I am even more glad that he is not satisfied.

PS I think he has taken both losses fairly hard because we were in position to possibly be 3-0, so he might have started the game trying to do too much...

More Irony - calling someone out on misspelling while misspelling the word misspelling.

Even More Irony! Both of you guys should have used a semicolon and not a en dash.
