I assume the search function is forever disabled, so just lose the search button. That way people will be not be pissed off because it's not working.

Hover of the Search option and select Advanced Search and input your search query there.

advanced search worked for me last time i used it, and the basic one didn't. however, there isn't really anything worth finding.

it gets old looking for LLs to bump up. But if they are worth looking for I have been subscribing so I don't need search...wish I had been doing more subscriptions.
