He hasn't been ruled out and only missed 1 game this year.

Listen I never said I wanted to cut the guy. When healthy hes a beast in the run game I know this but I think were putting to much faith in a guy thats so oft injured. If he can stay healthy he should make a beast of a RG.

Shock is a huge part of what we are doing on offense right now. I also think that he is helping to bring a competitive attitude to this team. We REALLY need him this week, as we face his old team. He knows they're defense as well as anybody on this team right now.

As far as Otah is concerned., I think he played well last week, and i hope that he can continue to contribute to our team. I am choosing to have a positive attitude about him, until he proves otherwise this season. Hopefully his new coaches can do a better job at keeping him ready than the old regime did.

What did you mean by cut your losses like we did with Dan Morgan then?
Please explain how you think he could be better at guard than tackle anyway, you think it will make him less injury prone?

Swallow your pride and admit you overreacted in this thread. Sometimes it's much better to do that than to defend yourself and sound even worse.

*still not trying to be a dick I promise

I meant we need to start looking for a replacement. The reason I think he will be a better guard is I believe he would be better inside where his weakness in pass blocking wouldn't be as big an issue (and I'm not saying hes horrible in PB just nowhere near Gross). And no of course it wouldn't make him less injury proned but a G is much easier to replace then a T mid-season. Not to mention we need to solidify the RG position anyway.

And this is not something I just now started suggesting. If you go on the draft forum it something I have been saying for a couple of weeks now but the more often he gets injured the more likely the scenario is.

Glad we can have a debate without someone getting bent out of shape. I might be a homer but I think Otah is better in pass protection than given credit for. I also think he's not as injury prone as people make him out to be. J- Stewart misses more practices than anybody as a precaution and but shows up game time. I think the same approach is being taken with Otah

Otah is the new Stewart. Just let him sit every day we're not playing, no need in getting him banged up in practice.

Theres a little difference in a RB who never misses games and a T that constantly does. RB really don't need to practice with the team to maintain consistency but OLman do. The worst thing for a OL is constant change.

His pass blocking isn't bad but it certainly isn't as good as I would like at T but I could live with it if he could stay healthy. And we have a whole year to see if he can. If he keeps missing games we might go after Kalil if he's available. If not it will probably be LB or CB (unless a DT shows up out of nowhere).

This is false dude. His rookie year he started in 12 outta 16 games.
His next year he played in 13 straight until hurting his knee.
Missed a year after 2 knee surgeries and comes back this year and misses 1 out of 4 over a concussion. Dude does not miss as many games as some think including you.
