dude's continuing to impress.

still....last two games were against the two worst special teams unit in the league.

i want to see him do it against a better one before i get too excited.

I said after the draft next to Newton this will be our best pick. The kid is a playmaker. I can't wait to see him and Newton develop some chemistry. Heres an article I found on him that convinces me even more he will be special.

Draft expert here better start respecting. Just wait until this kid starts making waves at WR. Great pick.

that's why i'm holding off on any exuberance.

was it just because he was playing against the worst? has he all of a sudden given us a respectable kick return game? has the ST units found a way to not suck in one phase of play?

i've just got to see him against someone better. i'm cautiously optimistic.

He ran a 4.37 40time after knee injury. Not only haters but also morons

This.

I pointed this out in the thread on his TD return last week, but to me, it appears he's just running out of gas at about the 50. The burst and speed are there early and once he gets through the initial wall, but it just looks like his legs give out after that.

I think it's just a matter of conditioning and getting used to running that distance on a regular basis. The guy wasn't even on the active roster for a good part of the season, and he's our best KR in years with ability to take it all the way on any given kickoff... Give him a break.

I wonder if those years as a RB before converting to WR helped him with his field vision :)

I agree. Dont think this guy was a PR in College, plus like you said with the lock out and all. Its going to take some conditioning. 100 yd sprint 2, 3, 4 times must be tough. I see more KR TD's coming our way

True but how many bad Special Teams have we faced in the last 8 years?

You guys really need to put him in the slot. He burned a lot of guys in college doing that. You wanna say he did it aginst poor teams and bad defenses that`s ok but he did it non the less. Every game against all opponents. I don`t feel sorry for the defenses that couldn`t catch him. He didn`t get noticed because he was from Hawaii that`s all. He`s a gamer for sure. Put him in the slot and you`ll see 2 Steve Smiths on the field at one time. He`s also very good at shifting and breaking ankles on defenders. Rivera`s a dope! If Pilares can tear up yards for short distances on kick returns, what do you think he could do in the slot tearing up 15 - 20 yards at a time
