Does anybody think John made this decision? Elway that is...

Fox changing so quickly just doesn't sound like him.

Fox certainly had some outside pressure... he doesn't do things like this. Wouldn't surprise me if Elway told Fox he had to put The Golden Calf of Bristol in.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post believes Fox will name The Golden Calf of Bristol the starter, possibly as soon as tomorrow (link)

If a coaching decision was indeed handed down from Elway this early in things, it wouldn't speak very well of Fox's potential longevity there.

How a team could take a coach from a 2-14 team and hire him is baffling to me.

Say what you want about our talent base last year, the guy's resume is only 3 winning years in 9, and an overall record of 2 more wins than losses in 140+ games.

And to top it all off, he lame ducked us. You don't want someone who will give up like that to come in and try and lead a team. At least I wouldn't. Hell, Rivera is strugling to undo the legacy Fox left behind.

Who knows... maybe The Golden Calf of Bristol will make Fox's rolling in crap smell like roses... but I somehow doubt it.

what's funny to me is before 2010 how all the fox homers used to talk about him never going under 7-9, and then afterwards, changing the argument to "well he's never gone worse than 7-9 with good talent"

i agree....really can't see fox switching to a rookie/young player over a veteran, no matter how lousy the vet is playing.

Fox had his moments here, but the combo of Fox and the Panthers had pretty well run it's course after 2008. I thought he might have success with a new start. Now I'm not so sure.

Fox can't develop young QBs.

Heard that the 'Broncos staff' will deliberate about the QB starting situation per ESPN...:smilielol5:

Meaning...'John, you gotta start The Golden Calf of Bristol'

Smack, smack, clap, clap...OK.
