His brothers an offensive lineman and was a high pick in the UFL draft, so he's clearly a quality player.

They probably want to see if he has the same type of 'locker-room leadership' that his brother has, maybe even some of his athleticism.
As corny as it sounds, it probably isnt that bad of an idea considering that it was just to the practice squad. nothing to lose really.
