I do not mean in any way that the coaching is not trying to win but I think they are trying to win only within a certain framework. I think they knew they would take their licks this year so they are going into each week with a certain gameplan to get Cam lots of reps, put him in certain situations, get other young guys reps, look at a lot of different players. I am frustrated with the losses but do maintain hope but that hope is dependent upon some guys improving and increasing the talent level on the starting defense and overall depth as well as the coaching staff learning and improving.
I can see that........but most of the children here can't. Not sure what most people expected this year. Rookie quarterback, rookie head coach, new schemes/system. I was whole lot more concerned before the season than I am now.
I for one am pleased with with progress/direction we are headed in.
The losses are frustrating but not miserable like they have beeen in the past.
Our defense is the weak part. I believe as the season progresses defense will improve. As will the mistakes on offense.
After last year this is awesome.

It's not a one draft/FA period fix. Look at Philly

When you lose a team with a culture of losing, you can't just hit the reset button the next year. Winning cures all, but that does not seem like it is this coaching staff's primary goal. That's why we are perplexed & pissed off.
no poo, I mean if Harbaugh can do it....

I think we have made strides, but we have a long way to go. Realistically, I can't see us actually being serious contenders until the at the very least the 2013 season. The team, including the coaching staff, is just too new and inexperienced. The coaches have to get their philosophy and strategy together, and the players have to manifest our style (whatever that is) on the field. All facets are going to have to develop, evolve, gel and mature for the team to be successful. Unfortunately this will take time, and some of our key offensive pieces today might not be here to benefit when it all comes together.
The offense is fine running what they are doing and Cam will only get better. The Defense is where they need some Vets. People that understand what needs to be done and do it. Well that and 2 DTs that dont get blown up every down.
