Gantt absolutely swore we had informal contact with Harbaugh. If you believe that he was considered. Obviously JR didn't believe it :P

Yes, Jim Harbaugh is the best coach in football because he inherited a perennial underachieving team that has been irrelevant the last decade, and has the third weakest schedule in all of football.

What did Josh McDaniels start out with? 6-0 iirc...

I was going to point that out myself.

Harbaugh's probably going to have a great career as an NFL coach but that does not mean the Panthers would be 5-1 if he was here. Please stop throwing Rivera under the bus after 6 competitive games with a rookie QB and a 2-14 team - and bear in mind 4 of our games have been vs some of the best teams in the league.

Look at our schedule v. the 49ers this year. End of conversation.

I think the Lions are decent this year.

Just my opinion.

I agree.

5-1 is hardly decent.

Meh, niners are a very good team and I don't think anyone doubted Harbaugh's ability as a coach.

49ers win five Super Bowls under Harbaugh. You heard it here first.

Right or wrong, you should definitely chill for a little bit

Man, you KNOW you're ass at making threads if even TCF is tired of them.

Lots of time left to go. 6 games isn't poo.

There's a really good chance Rivera wins more NFL games and postseason games than Harbaugh does.

Let's all revisit this thread!!!!  Rivera ending up a better coach than Jim Harbaugh??  Jerry Richardson didn't even care to consider Harbaugh as coach of the Panthers.  DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

Man I miss the optimism I felt when I thought we'd be drafting Andrew Luck and Jim Harbaugh would be our next head coach.

It was reported this week that he was "ALL IN" on Jim Harbaugh.  But the way JR handled the interview process was a joke.  Also, Harbaugh was told by many of his friends in the NFL DO NOT WORK FOR RICHARDSON.  It would have been a package deal (Luck/Harbaugh) but neither wanted to come here.
