No, its not the same. Its not even similar.

Jordan launched an assault against Israel. Israel responded and took the West Bank. So Israel did not launch a war of aggression and take the West Bank. They just didn't give it back after the war was over. In truth, I don't think Jordan really wanted it back.

I do believe that the West Bank settlements were a mistake on Israel's part, but they are still not even close to what Saddam launching an unprovoked war of agression against Kuwait.

How many deaths at the hands of a terrorist pisses you off...1...2..20...500?

Let us know what number works for you to give a s**t.

seriously, it's not the tactics which people die by that makes death abhorrent.

no, that's determined by the color of the skin/religion of the people doing it.

We didn't kill x number of innocent civilians. we killed y number!

well.... somewhere in between, really. We're not sure. 2 of them were babies, so we're pretty sure that they weren't terrorists.... 4 were men, so we're going to assume that they were..... and one was about 14 but he was a quadriplegic soooooo..... yea, lets just assume that he was a terrorist too.

I have been there, and Israelis and Arabs have basically the same skin color.

what have we learned about thinking insignificantly small portions of the population serve as a good barometer for the larger popuation?

for what its worth, arafat immediately denounced that small celebration.

I don't believe your sources because it was Fox News. Mine was from a much more reliable MSNBC.

If Israel went back to pre-1967 borders and de-militarized, would the other Arabs in the region recognize them as a state?

At least it makes it a lot more of a possibility.
