Duke is in the same but opposite spot...no inside game. It will be hard for them to rely just shooting 3s come dance time. The blueprint for beating UNC and Duke is there for opposing coaches.

As a Duke fan, that is the only real gripe I have had with Coach K. He never really goes after top tier big men in recruiting, and if he gets ones that are capable he uses them solely for rebounding and def. I dont know if any of you remember Duke games back when we had Brand, and a few years later, Boozer. Games just seemed a lot, for a lack of a better word, easier, for the team to win games. And its not like those teams were devoid of 3 point shooters, but you MUST have a big man that can score in order to make any noise in the tourney. The chances of a team like Duke staying hot for 7 straight games in the NCAA tourney against the best teams in the country are incredibly slim. Not like it hasn't happened, when shots are dropping, all is good, but when they don't, all of a sudden you are beating a 16 or 15 seed by 7 points in a game you should be winning by 40.

cannot stand a team that averages about 1000 3's a game. Duke is a team that lives and dies by the 3. They have no inside game.

Fortunately, Zeller was willing to chip in and help them with their lack of an inside game. :)

Good thing they will only have to win 6 in a row then...its always all matchup anyway. They could just as easily lose in the second round or make the final four.

He does go after big men, most recently Mitch McGary and Tony Parker, but he doesn't get them. Duke's offense is normally centered around guards and wings which is why we are normally in the running for those top tier guys. Big time center prospects want to go and play where they will be featured and that is not at Duke for the most part although Mason Plumlee has had a nice year.

Looking good on grabbing the number 1 pf, and number one player overall according to rivals. Next year carolina will fall off. Duke will not
