PBS is probably regretting asking Richard Epstein his opinions, but a lesson is to be learned.

They need to learn that you can't have income equality of you are not willing to actually have a job and work.

same as you. many go to colleges and pile on debt THEN after that go to work.
been going on for a long time. many should rethink that anthropology degree.
dont take a job that you think the wages suck. or, take that job and live within or below your means and have zero debt.
or find ways to make more money. nobody owes anybody a thing out there.
where were some of these folks during the 90's and money was falling out of the sky? no complaints then.

Kinda sad to say this but if people knew how to save money back when they were making boatloads in the 90s maybe not tons but at least a lot of people would still own their house, and not be living in a 2 bedroom apt and paying rent with unemployment.

You mean you can't have three cars, a mortgage, a boat and 5 credit cards maxed out and still be OK? What, this is America, we're supposed to get everything we want...
A LOT of people have no clue what "living within your means" is.

Does anyone really believe that people that took out exhorbitant mortgages when real estate was booming should have been personally bailed out?
If you answer yes...then you're hopeless.
If you answer no...then what's the difference in someone taking out exhorbitant student loans in a depressed employment market.
