We're drawing closer and closer to the tip-off to the '11-'12 season.

Let's hear some predictions. Can be anything from Conference Winners to whoever will cut down the nets in April.

I'm looking for a big year from the A-10. One team in particular, St. Bonaventure. Got a sure fire NBA prospect in Andrew Nicholson who is on the Wooden Award list. Add Michael Davenport and you got two perennial Senior scorers. Their coming over to face the Illini in December, should be fun to go to that one.

Hoping for some big things from Bama and Michigan.

Should be interesting to watch Butler this year. To see how far Smith, Marshall and Hopkins have come over the offseason. Seeing if Nored can lead the team by himself.

For a title game prediction I'll go with UNC over UCONN. Shocking, I know.

My stab at the B1G

1. Ohio St. - With Sully back, they're the easy pick.
2. Wisky - Jordan Taylor gives them the edge in the clusterfug that will ensue under OSU.
3. Michigan - I thought they were a darkhorse NC candidate before Morris left for the NBA. I'm interested to see how quick they move on without him.
4. Michigan St. - They've seemed snakebit in the regular season recently. It's like a changing of the guard for them this year.
5. Illinois - Another team with a changing of the guard. The cupboard's full of Top 100 guys, will anyone step up?
6. Purdue - Will we get a full season of Hummel, or is he destined to join the Delvon Roe all stars?
7. Indiana - There are signs of life in Bloomington. Can Cody Zeller get them into the postseason.
8. Northwestern - The Cats NCAA chase has been like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. I'll believe it when Greg Gumbel says their name on Selection Sunday.
9. Minnesota - Between defections and injuries, it's hard to believe in the Gophers, but they'll somehow sneak their way into NCAA talk.
10. Iowa - Fran McCarthy has some good things going (Gatens, Basabe), but I don't see much else.
11. Nebraska - The Huskers will find the road a lot tougher in the B1G.
12. Penn St. - No Battle, no hope. But maybe the new coaching staff might get games out of the 30's.

Should be the best college bball season in a long, long time as far as star power goes. Alot of bigtime players came back that could have been lottery picks plus a really good freshman class coming in could be spectacular.

Nicholson is a beast.

The A10 should be strong this year. Wouldn't shock me to see the league get 4 bids instead of the normal three.
