Luck is a great prospect and I definitely think he's going to be a star, but you never take unproven over proven. Not saying it's proven that Newton will be a super star, but he's shown a helluva lot more than Luck has.

Luck has not played ONE snap in the NFL. For those nerdy pricks (mcShay and Kiper) to say that is pretty ridiculous. Always go with the white golden boy over the black guy that may have had some trouble in his past. Dorks

Luck is a great athlete too.

The thing that always separated Luck from Cam for me was Luck's ability to throw the ball.. but that changed when Cam proved he could make elite throws on a consistent basis. He still makes some mistakes and over throws/flat out misses, but he's made throws you only see guys like Brady/Rodgers make.

Kiper is right in one way, we could be comparing them against each other for years to come. This could be the next Manning/Brady duo.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one of them. As a former Luck homer and Cam hater I'm all for what Cam can do with both his arm and his legs.

Ultimately I think Luck will end up being the better pro but usually you're better off sticking with a proven vs an unproven. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Though if somehow we ended up with the #1 pick a big factor on which direction to go would end up being what trade offers you got for Cam vs. what offers you had for Luck. I think you'd end up with more/bigger offers for Luck though, making it an easy choice.
