Guess the Singletary thing was the improper comparison. I'd still like to see him froth at the mouth though.

I don't know man. One of the baddest men I ever knew was a gunnery sergeant whose voice sounded almost like a little boys - but that man was one stone cold deadly SOB. Voices can be deceiving.

Hard to take anyone seriously who thinks what goes on in the locker room behind closed doors is remotely similar to how they act in a press conference.

Oh really... I never knew a press conference calls for you to be on your best behavior

He's the same regardless... why wouldn't he be. Purpose of putting on a front??? For who? For what?

I remember an interview with Coach Rivera after he was first hired. He stated that he is a calm man on the sideline, you won't see any yelling or big emotional displays from him. No Cowher or Chuckie action. I have noticed, though, that he does approach players on the sideline and calmly has his say, whether encouragement or warning or direction, and gets back to the game. He doesn't let anything linger or build up (ie Shannahan-yuck).

I'm glad he is calm. I don't like the spitting, yelling, or demonstrative coaches.
