He's a stud and would be a great fit. Unfortunately not a real need right now. We get Gettis and we NEED DB, DT. he will be gone by then for sure. If we could package a way to land him as well as the others we would be very happy Panthers IMO.

DJ is a good/not great prospect. I love the kid in a Tar Heel uni! But like other posters have mentioned in other posts im concerned with his speed. It seems like hes running in sand. Almost like Armanti on punts or Pilares on KO's or even Lafell on that 4th down catch and run. There will be a spot for him in the NFL and dont worry he will go in the 1st round anyway.

WR will be an issue that needs to be addressed. with LA maybe not coming back, DG coming off a acl tear, smitthy getting older this team needs guys to get down field. i guy i didnt like that much but is growing on me is Joe Adams from Arkansas. really interested in how he looks vs LSU and will be looking at that match up. plus i think the WR FA group is deep. Robert Mechem, Dwayne Bowe, Desean Jackson, Mike Wallace(last 3 teams will not let them walk for nothing) to name a few all can stretch the field.

WR needs to be addressed at sometime, but it's not nearly the urgent need that OT, DT, OLB is. i'd put WR behind even CB and FS.

WalterFootball.com is usually a pretty fun read as far as their mock drafts go... they've got us taking Blackmon @ #3, and then taking Billy Winn from Boise on defense in the 2nd round. I'd honestly be disappointed with that, but there are no Marcel Dareus types in this draft.

I wouldn't mind a WR, if the coaches think FA can address some needs. Plus, we get Beason and Edwards back, hopefully.

I would rather take the player who will have an immediate impact. Defense, preferably. But the more weapons Cam has, the better.

I do think he will be a good/very good player in the NFL. His ability to adjust to the ball is right up there with anyone in the draft, he has great hands, and good enough speed. With all that said as much as I would like to see him on the roster I hope we don't pick him. Another Wr would be a luxury at the moment considered we'd have to spend a high pick on him, mostly likely a second. We literally can't afford to spend our picks on anything else but OL and Defense. Now if a team blows us away with a trade with some extra picks than we might be able to spend a pick on him

he will be a decent receiver in the NFL, but you have to remember we are getting Gettis back next year and Smitty probably has two more solid years in him

eventually we will have to find another number one, but the time for that is not now

we need defense and a lot of it

Why do we want a receiver at all? Between Gettis, Lafell, Olsen, Shockey (hopefully) and Smitty we're pretty much set in that area.

If you add them all together you still don't get a Muhammad, except Smith of course.

Wouldn't be surprised if we took a receiver, but I would expect it to be one who really slid down the board and ended up available in a much later round than they anticipated.

OL, DT, CB, LB are all much larger needs right now (in no particular order there), and our pick in the first round won't address all of 'em.

I agree 100%

Matt Kalil > Dwight Jones.

The Panthers drafting a WR with their first pick would be retarded.
