I've said before that coach K is better than Roy Williams, but that's getting harder and harder to justify.

I can't bring myself to say that Roy is better than Dean Smith either though.

I love Roy Williams, but the first championship in 05 wasn't his recruits. They were dougherty's recruits he was just at the right place at the right time. However, I do still agree that Roy Williams is freakin awesome!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves! He has a way to go to pass Dean Smith. Hell... Dean Smith is the one that talked Roy into leaving kansas to come back to UNC. Dean Smith is still indirectly involved!

I think he is 7-5 against Duke as the UNC coach and not sure about when he was with Kansas. I know he lost the title against Duke when he was with Kansas. But 7-5 is hardly owning. It could be tied up next year. He's been owning K recently on recruiting.
