If we could also get a new RT, Ngata, Dareus, AJ Green, Blackmon, M Kalil, Peterson at safety, Claiborne AND Kirkpatric to go with Super Mario and Zack Brown we'd DOMINATE DA NFLZ!!!

Championship.

Besides trading down in draft. Trade back into da first round. Grab da best cb and lb in first and then a dt in da 2nd.

Speak god damn English. It's THE.

Now for those of you commenting on our good DE play this year......you are right. BUT, picture a life next year where either Hardy or CJ go down! Scary as chit ain't it?

Imagine if Cam got injured. We should draft Matt Barkely.

Imagine if Smitty got injured. We should draft Alshon Jeffrey.

Imagine if Gamble got injured. We should draft Claiborne (winner).

Imagine if Kalil got injured. We should draft ... some good Center.

Imagine if Otah got injured. We should draft ... oh wait. Nevermind.

Not that I'm against getting Mario Williams. As much as I like Hardy, and despite what some people around here he HAS produced well this year as well as last even if he doesn't have the stats that casual fans like to point at, Williams would be an obvious upgrade. But I'm thinking of cap space in the same way as high draft picks. Spend what you got on what will be the biggest upgrade, and we could probably use our currently scant cap space on bigger upgrades at positions other than DE.

You are overexaggerating a bit. Should we try to draft quality depth.....yes. Mario is a proven playmaker, which is something we really need. DT's are scares in both the draft and FA. No way to really get a big boost there. If we lost a DE then we would be in the same boat there ad we are this year with DT's. Either way, its not gonna happen so debate is pointless.

hate when people say poo like this. what i dislike more is when people talk completely out of their ass, much like you're doing here. you're completely wrong. hardy has played well, at times, but gets manhandled a great deal (especially in the run game). don't speak in such a condescending tone when you don't know what the fug you're talking about

If Hardy or CJ goes down, I'm pretty happy with Applewhite filling in.

I never implied that. Hardy is fine in run defense and very good in getting pressured. He rarely "gets pushed around" unless he's getting double teamed. You see what you see and I see what I see.

And I was quoting The Dude.

I see hardy getting pushed back frequently 1v1, and I don't specifically try to watch him or anything. His run defense leaves a lot to be desired.

I think we should draft claiborne or kirkpatrick and then trade back in first and get zach brown and look for da best dt in da second.

And get aggressive in free agency. Go after people like Mario Williams. Bring him back to nc. Go after da micheal griffin from Tenn.

The last two times Hurney got aggressive in the draft, those moves netted us future HOFer Everette Brown and ironman Jeffrey Otah.

Yeah, let's do that again...
