Of maybe you don't believe that Christ was ever born. (That i can't help with. It's called Faith.)
I was at Target near my house last week. (It actually takes me longer to get in and out of my van than it does to drive to Target.) There's a young lady (Early 20's) who always seems to be working when I shop there. She wished me "Happy Holidays". I told her "Merry Christmas". She got a big grin on her face and whispered to me, "We aren't supposed to say that."
I'm not The Golden Calf of Bristol. (I thought the SNL Skit was hilarious!)
Remember where "Christmas" came from!
I grew up in Southern Indiana. A little over a mile+ from my Parents home was what we called a "Holy Roller" church. (Pentecostal) I used to sit out on my Parents porch and that listen to that church on Wednesday and Sunday nights sometime. That church would be jumpin'! (I mean no disrespect.)
Being raised Presbyterian, which means that 1/2 of the time the congregation just mouths the words to the hymns, and a 1/4 that do sing, sing off key! Except that Christmas time. Everyone would join in when we started to sing Christmas Hymns. (In case you don't know it, Christmas Carols are really Hymns. Most of them anyway.)
Back to the Church on the hill. Come Christmas time, That church was worth sitting out in the cold to listen to. I imagine there wasn't a spec of dust left on the rafters after they got through singing.
Psalm 33:3 Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.
This is about the most religious as I will ever get on here.
