I can't remember the name of that horse's ass that threw the flag.

$5 says it was Walt Coleman.

Hoge is right, we came out and hung 21 points on the #1 ranked defense in the NFL... then with 7:25 left in the 4th we got the ball and never gave it back. 13 running plays, Texans knew what was coming and couldn't do anything about it.

They spent a majority of our efforts this offseason fixing the offense, and we have clearly done amazing things with it. I think all the people calling for Hurney's head need to at least give him credit for that.

rarely will a fan look at Hurney objectively...

this is smart play calling. what made it so good was the timing of the ball control mentality. had they started it earlier in the game they would have lost it.

if you try to do that for more time than that then you stand too big of a chance of giving the game away.

agreed. i'm sure much of that had to do with talking to rivera & co. finding out what they want.

i can't wait to see what they will do on defense this year. i don't think it will be a ton of activity, but it will be smart and helpful.

I've thought for a long time that someone decided early on that they could only fix one side of the ball this year due to the truncated offseason and opted for the O because of how terrible they were last year. I expect to see a drastic turnaround in the D this offseason; both because of the injured players coming back and a full offseason to devote to proper team improvement.

I doubt it will be anywhere near as dramatic as the turnaround the O saw but I'd expect it to be significant.

quoted for truth!

When our offense is "on"......i don't foresee too many teams getting in our way. :cam:

This is why we need to bulk up on o-lineman. To really push our will on defenses. I want to draft a guard or tackle 1st round.
