It was a "boutique" type place at the Lake, that's all they do.

Does your Y offer hot yoga? Its basically yoga in a sauna room set at 110-120 degrees if you haven't heard of it..

edit: the only reason I say hot yoga specifically as opposed to regular yoga is because I feel like I've put in more work when I'm sore and my clothes are drenched with sweat.

haha yeah I do know what the Hot Yoga is, I have heard very good things about it....

They have that at the Y with all these other types of yoga

Regular Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga

Power Vinyasa

YIN

Hatha

Gentle

Mindfulness

Yoga/Pilates fusion

Bliss

Inyegar

I'm sure they are all pretty much the same just with slight changes. I have heard really good things about Vinyasa...this girl I do kboxing with says she takes that and it really helps your breathing when you are doing cardio, helps you to control everything. Its also really good for your core, building muscle, etc. You do lots of little movements and don't realize how much they work you until you are sore the next day.

I used to do pilates before we had 2 kids. Most people consider it a cousin of yoga, and it's subject to the same knuckle-dragging comments as yoga (ballet?)

It was awesome. I never felt better and my ability to play my drums was increased 10 fold. The strenth and flexibility I had was insane.

Once I get caught up on sleep I'll start my morning pilates again. Give the yoga a shot, if you like it who cares what people say
