Just think about it for a moment.... Ya good? Ok, Cam just broke what is arguably the greatest QB of all time's rookie record while adding stats that Peyton couldnt even dream of(700 rush yds, 14 rush TD's) He did it with less turnovers and more total TD's.

Now Brees just broke a record that he already should have broken 3 years ago if our Cats hadnt gotten in the way. He did it with more attempts on average and a more liberal passing game plan, and on top of that more rules placed on defenders to not touch recievers. P.S. I know Cam may have gotten the same advantage of the rules as Brees, dont be a dick.

1st It is no longer "Marino's All Time Record" or "Mannings Rookie Record"

2nd Cam should just break currently Bree's All Time Record next year and own both. :)

When all is said and done this year, Newton will have passed for 4,000+ yards, rushed for greater than 700 yards, and accounted for at least 35 total touchdowns.

People can talk about Brees' season and Brady's (50 td) season being the greatest for a QB ever, however the marks Cam has put up under center this year will stand for a long, long time (unless of course, he breaks it next year).

newton will own that record in a couple years. there's no way that record is going to stand for long.

They'll both be Cam's someday anyways; so it doesn't matter.

Cam will have both Brees record and Vicks QB rushing record.

Can you imagine being the qb drafted to replace Cam at the end of his career. It would take Dan Marino's Grandson and Bo Jackson's Granddaughter to conceive a child capable of following such greatness.

I'd be surprised if Cam broke the regular season passing record...it takes a pass happy offense to get a QB in that rare air. I hope we don't start running an offense like that....

Nah 5000+ yards is freaking amazing... Cam's record not to far behind though.

Honestly, I don't think Cam has to worry this season that any of the other rookie QBs will break accomplish what he did today but Brees do have to accept the fact that what he did on Monday will be accomplished by two other QBs before the season ends. Doesn't hold as much weight because he won't have the title by himself for long.
