Probably the San Diego secondary coach?

their secondary coach worked with rivera in chicago and followed him to san diego. however, he's the asst HC as well so he'd probably get blocked for an interview.

Well, if you wanna go the tinfoil hat route, McDermott was a DB coach. You could ask him to return to that role and give Spagnuolo the DC job.

(that's not gonna happen)

yea. Wish we could also have the Dline he had in NY. :yesnod:

In order for our Offense to play even more Aggressive, we need a defense that can force turnovers. Without it, our offense has to play flawless games in order to win(and probably not take as many risks unless we're down by a margin). That means getting people on the line and lbers back and changing the DB's mindset from softzone to attacking the ball.

That's why teams like the Packers and New Orleans can win. Top Notch offenses with defenses that give up yardage but they get a lot of turnovers. In fact, it can probably be said for a lot of the teams in the playoffs.

Good! Throw out the trash.

He is not trash, his coaching does not mesh well with McDermott

new orleans forced less turnovers than us this season
their offense is just that good...

it's also the timing of the turnovers and the ability to capitalize off them.

Captain was good against pass. It's our safeties and positioning that killed us. Rom has to take the fall. See you and thanks for your service.

He got destroyed at key times in both Falcons games.

Get better or we will move on without you.

that's the message I heard for RR's mouth at the end of the season.

and a damn good message at that.

Clearing out FOX mentality

Ron helped get new coaching staff and Fox players in a short camp

Rivera came in and turned the offense in one season
Now its on to the defense

Out with the old in with the new

per gantt on twitter...

daringantt Surprised (not really) about Ron Meeks leaving. http://t.co/AyXoKl4z Was a better position coach than DC (historically), but not a fit.

daringantt You figure Rivera has a plan in mind. Perhaps coincidentally, former co-worker Steven Wilks' contract is up in SD. http://t.co/q5NNaZGy

daringantt Wilks is a Charlotte native (played for the long-ago Rage), who played at Appalachian State. Worked with Rivera in Chicago too.

daringantt Again, maybe it's a coincidence on Wilks, whose contract didn't allow him to come here last year. That made Meeks the place-holder.

Very interesting indeed. Doesn't sound too coincidental to me. Wouldn't be suprised if Wilks is Meeks' eventual replacememt based on these reports.
