Yes, more hypotheticals... That's what we need.

What if Peyton Manning wanted to be a Panther?
What if Brandon Marshall and Reggie Wayne wanted to be Panthers?
What if we cut DeAngelo and traded up to pick up Richardson?

How bout this one.... What if Chud STAYS and we win the motherfugin Super Bowl next year?

Yeah, I like that last one.

It's funny how people must think Chud ran this offense before too. He didn't. He's running the offense Rivera demands. And OC's main job will not be designing plays but calling them at the right time. This offense isn't going to magically change with a new OC.

cat scratch reader talked about this yesterday.

did the offense suck because of shula or because the bucs put most of their resources in the defense and relied on a game manager like dilfer and a crappy group of receivers?

it was a defense focused team built around the idea that defense wins championships.

shula might have deserved some of the blame for it being bad, but given what he had to work with @QB and WR and the mentality of the team maybe he made the best of what he had.

You have to work with what you have.

Riiiiiiggggghhhhhhht.....

An OC has nothing to do with the offense that's run in the NFL.

It's so unimportant who your OC is. I mean look at NE. O'Brien is going to Penn State, so Bellicek rehired McDaniels...

He NEVER beings back people, and yet he brings back McDaniels.

This is really getting out of hand, and this is why I stay away from this forum during the offseason.

Thanks for the reminder.

I'll say it again...Cam has a capacity to make a large number of competent playcallers look like geniuses.

I remember him from his time at Bama. Didn't like him and was so happy the rumor of him going to UF was untrue. Brent Pease was a much better pick up.

I was living in Tampa Bay for some of his tenure as OC...

Run...Run...Pass...Punt

That was the offense. It was a joke. A good game was 13 points, and they won them because of Tony Duny and Monte Kiffin's Defense.

Now, maybe he has learned. Maybe he is better now. But I have cold chills imagining him as the Panthers OC. I will try to be optimistic, but good lord, the memories. It was awful.

Please stay Chud. Please?

well, at Cleveland, Chud ran a pass type of offense too. Chud is a great playcaller, now with that said, if Chud does leave (which i dont think will happen), then whoever the OC is, i see them running a similar offense that Chud ran. with that said, i just dont see Chud leaving yet. i dont know if the Colts fire their coach, but if they do, i dont see Chudzinski going there. i think Miami wil hire either Mike Zimmer or a former college coach or a bigger name coach. i personally would love to see either Zimmer or Jim Tressel in Miami. As for Tampa, i see them getting a coach with more discipline, i keep hearing Mike Sherman.

If Shula was the OC he wouldn't run, run, pass, punt.

It isn't what the HC wants or the talent dictates. He ran in Tampa what worked given the talent and what he was asked to do. Rivrera brought Chud bc Chud calls the type scheme Rivera believes his team should have......Chud wasnt brought in and told run whatever you want

I never said that. However, was Chud running the read option and pure option at Cleveland? No. Rivera brought him in here and told him the style would be running. Chud adapted to that and became a great play caller. However, if Shula becomes the OC in a year or two, we aren't going to change formations or plays that we run.
