I guess when you have never won a superbowl and making the playoffs is just a dream that is all you have to do. here i'll explain why we love to see the saints lose:

1. they're a division rival
2. their fans are assholes who think their team is literally unbeatable
3. their players and coaches are assholes

I in all honesty do not know how that was a legal hit, the hit as I see it is helmet to helmet, and the defender lead with his helmet.

I know it's fun watching a Saints player get ran over but that hit as far as I know isn't legal

The only reason it was a hit on the helmet is because the runner lowered his head into the line of the defender. The defender was moving into the body. The runner lowered his head to protect the ball, into the path of the defender. You can't then penalize the defender for an action of the offensive player.

Exactly, I don't see why you guys don't understand this. The old director of NFL officiating explained this during the game.

If you turn on x10 zoom, you clearly see Jonathan Stewart dressed in a 49ers uni hitting Thomas. It's mind boggling how much trouble he went through to hit Saints.

On a side note, it would have been hilarious had Thomas voided his bowels at the end of the hit.
