The two most impressive receivers was Illinois' A.J. Jenkins and Tennessee Tech's Tim Benford. Jenkins was polished in his route-running, had good hands and showed more speed than the other wideouts. Many of the passes were off the mark and Jenkins (6-0, 192) made some nice adjustments to inaccurate passes. Benford is a speedster who was stretching the field and burning through cushions. Benford also made some quality hands catches. Benford (5-11, 193) had a lot of scouts approach him after practice, and according to sources, he has really impressed the Carolina Panthers.

Benford is currently projected to go undrafted. We may be getting some ducks in a row, and Benford could be a potential UDFA signing after the draft.

I'd also like us to take a look at Travian Robertson. He's been blowing up the EW Shrine Bowl practices.

Yea, I heard he was doing very well there. The only knock on him so far, is that he doesn't use his hands well to get off blocks.. but that can be coached.

Would rather take him in a later round and add depth to our line rather than in the first.

FYI

The defensive and offensive linemen spent a good amount of time going against each other in one-on-one pass blocking. The line play in the solo battles and the nine-on-nine run scrimmage was the focus of a lot of the prominent decision-makers present. Washington Redskins general manager Bruce Allen and Carolina Panthers general manager Marty Hurney both focused on the lines rather than the passing scrimmages on the other end of the field. also look out for Josh Norman from coastal carolina heard he is balling. 6'0 200+ pound CB could be another 3-5 round steal. interested in what he runs a 40 in.

I hope he is looking at DLine specifically!

I like WR Devon Wylie. If he is fully healed. He could wind up being a Wes Welker lite. He is a return specialist and is very good running down kicks. BUT if we made all our picks on defense or on both lines; it would be okay with me. Maybe this guy goes undrafted and we take a look at him.

Game is today at 4 on NFL Network. Lots of mid and late round prospects on display. Plus a legit 2nd rounder in OLB Brandon Lindsey of Pitt who may get a long look by our scouts

Thanks for the reminder Murph. I got it set to DVR, so I can rewatch play by play.
