Obama will brain fug 70% of American people into voting for him. Within 1 year 65% of these American people will bitch about how horrible Obama is. Obama is a hell of a salesman. He sells bullpoo like no one else.

You just described 90% of all politicians.

We all know that, we've discussed it to death here, but it never fails to come up as "Obamas fault" when it helps a political stance.

Most of us do, but all? You must have missed the teleportation thread.

I'm probably biased by my age but the 90's rocked for music.

Eh, the president really can't do as much as people think he can anyway. Thats the way the government is setup. In some respects, the President is like a NFL quarterback. Gets to much credit when things go well, and to much blame when they don't.

totally agree

The biggest responsibilities with a Pres for me concern war and I just want the guy who's not gonna set the stage for a all out middle east war.

This may seem outta left park in this thread, but I honestly think developing a strong relationship with Russia is as essential as China right now especially given the Iranian situation.

Russia has long been in the position of affording Iran the benefit of the doubt due to their proximity to Russia as well as their location in the Med. They can't be as cavalier about it anymore as Iran continues down a road that they see as potentially destabilizing.

I think that a small part of this is also due to the work by our Secretary of State and the UN.

Regardless of where it came from, it's good to see because it will be harder for Iran to go it alone than if they have any support from Russia.

Russia and China also make a lot of money selling weapons to Iran. For a long time, weapons to Iran was one of Russia's few sources of hard currency, at least until their oil industry took off. And those sales still make them a lot of money.

And they probably see Iran as a bulwark against to much US influence in the middle east.

Does anybody else think we should know how much money Buffett's secretary makes? Such a deal made about her tax rate, I think we ought to know as a point of reference.

Why not take an average secretarys salary and double it because she works for Buffett and figure it out, then abandon the whole idea because you are clearly foundering in your attempt to discredit a billionaire who thinks hes getting way too good of a deal.
