Baltimore #Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano will be the next head coach of the Indianapolis #Colts, per PFT.

On Tuesday, a guy who spent one year as a defensive coordinator was hired to be the new head coach of the Raiders. On Wednesday, word has emerged that a guy who spent one year as a defensive coordinator will be hired to be the new head coach of the Colts.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano will accept the job.

Pagano, 51, spent the 2011 season as the coordinator of the Ravens defense, after spending three seasons as the team’s secondary coach. He also has coached with the Browns and Raiders at the NFL level, and at various colleges, including the University of Miami, East Carolina, UNLV, Boise State, and USC.

If the old man was still in charge, he probably would have hired Ted Marchibroda for a 3rd tour as HC.

I like hiring someone on the Defensive side as the HC, but so was Dungy.

I thikn this pretty much seal Peyton's fate at returning as a Colts next year. The questions is, can he pass a physical with another team?

A Raven and a Steeler come together in Indy - Pagano hires ex-PIT OC Bruce Arians as his OC.

    • Trump is making a bad situation worse with his penny pinching ways to showboat to his supporters here in the USA.  He was speaking out of his ass during the campaign, but he should know better by now than to continue with that sort of pandering to the lowest common denominator. There is no other alliance more critical to the safety of the US than NATO and keeping the peace in that region of the world is infinitely cheaper for the American taxpayer than the cost of coming to their military rescue for a third time.   However, the ramifications go well beyond the unimaginable destructiveness of another world war.   Simply giving the impression to our European allies that the USA cannot be counted on for support weakens the hand of Europe when dealing with Russia on economic and political policies as well.  A USA less than fully committed to Europe's defense will draw them further into Russia's orbit of influence.  That will be unfortunate as our European bases are very important to the projection of our military power around the globe.  Just don't act like the USA is blameless in where we are today.
