Does gun control really work?

Recommended Posts

i'm personally opposed to guns. they increase the danger to every household they are in. people with guns in their home are more likely to be killed by guns, and more likely to commit suicide.

I really dislike this statement. It's liberal B.S.

i think they should be treated much in the way that cars are. people should take tests on proper use and safety. they are at least as much of a responsibility as driving.

I really love this statement by rodeo. It's liberal brilliance. This is actually what the NRA promotes rodeo.

If the NRA really supports that, why are they against background checks at gun shows?

I agree with that. Sadly though, misuse of cars (a/k/a drunk or otherwise negligent driving) kills more people than people with legally obtained firearms do, but doesn't incur a quarter of the outcry.

We are gun owners who are safety conscious and the other gun owners I know personally are rabid about safety as well. Still, it is something that should be mandatory, the safety tests. Heck, don't lifeguards have to take tests on water safety before they are lifeguards?

Ooooooo wow! You know they're serious when they have pamphlets in their office.

The problem is that due to well organized gun fanatics, it's near impossible to pass sensible gun laws.

Somehow allowing a person with a history of mental illness immediate access to semi automatic guns with enough ammo to invade Poland is the only way certain people feel we can defend our freedom.

"semi-automatic" groups nearly all hunting weapons as well. An "automatic" shotgun, most hunting rifles, my little Nylon .22 squirrel gun.

High gloss recycled paper = fun without the knicks and cuts of a pamphlet.
