they are bitter that the president has yet to make a move toward the middle. It was like this when Clinton took over, as well as Bush.

Man, just give me a sign, Obama. Any sign that you aren't all about you. That you care about the troops legitimately, not just politically. That you don't look at people who are working their asses off as ATMs for people who aren't. Come to the middle and I'll take back every bad thing I've ever said about you.

The guy wrote how many books about HIMSELF before he accomplished diddly poo....

I don't think you will be taking anything you said back.

their voices did matter, last november. but they were in the minority and they're not used to it so they are freaking out.

They were in the minority because McCain didn't energize the republican conservative base. Obama's spending plans and the current Congress and Senate have managed to do what McCain couldn't.

then why is his approval rating so high? with only 24% of people admitting they're republicans?

Obama may have energized the Republican base, but he also shrank it by about half.

So, you're of Obama's mindset of "we won, so deal with it." That's not a very open, tolerant or democratic viewpoint.

again, why didn't they protest socialist policy when bush did it?

they were fine with socialist policy until the democrats took office. bitter.

As a small business owner, I am firmly against the spending frenzy by bush and obama as well as government in general. I have yet to figure out how they can spend money like that. If I raised all my prices and then tripled my spending, 2 things would happen. I would lose my customers to someone else, and then my business would fold because I was writing checks I couldn't cash. But then again, I could always have someone there to hand me a bail out for being irresponsible.

The reason so many people are pissed is when you work so hard to make it, especially business owners, pouring in 60 -100 hours a week, it totally pisses you off to see someone buy groceries with food stamps and go put them in the back of their new escalade. I have seen that 4 times, not all escalades but brand new cars. What's the point of working your ass off to have better for yourself when you have to give it away to some lazy piece of crap whose only occupation is cashing welfare checks.

Market is in the toilet, economy isn't far behind, working 60 hours a week just to keep the doors open, and someone comes in with government housing wanting a 5 bedroom house at least. What has she done to earn such a right? Had 7 kids with 7 men. She didn't even know all the daddy names, by her own admission. $1400 bucks a month for government housing, awesome. Struggling to pay my own mortgage and keep a business going looking at the prospect of another 12% capital gains tax increase, priceless.

Don't tell me I'm pissed because we lost, because I think we would have lost no matter who was elected. I'm pissed off at the bull sh*t that is being passed off for my well being. I could have health insurance, if I wasn't having to pay for someone elses. Government handouts have become big business and it's a load of crap. Elected officials don't care, they have their checks. Our president doesn't care, he's spending like he just hit the lottery, and past presidents and congress haven't cared when they have spent like crazy. It's irresponsible, it's wrong, it's bullsh*t and that is what pisses people like me off.

But..but that was the Bush Doctrine for 8 years, and Faux news drove it home

Please read the entire post before you say something like that.

Our president doesn't care, he's spending like he just hit the lottery, and past presidents and congress haven't cared when they have spent like crazy

I didn't say it was just Obama, I said it was all of them.

You all realize that this is what an open democracy brings us to?

That's why I don't go rah rahing over the flag and "our way of life" -it has its strengths and weaknesses just like any other form of population control, er, government. I've been in some intolerant countries, and some really tolerant countries, and all have their pluses and minuses. All of them had their share of happy people and unhappy people, but I must say that the happiest people in general I've been around are the Germans, who are more leftest/socialist than we are currently, but not as left as the Scandinavian countries or Switzerland, for example. And "being happy" is really the end game of life, not "freedom", which lets face it, is an illusion.

I have been. I don't have the time to go out and openly protest, but I've been very open and vocal about my dislike of past administrations and the irresponsibility that they have shown.

I believe that most Germans are right handed which means that they have food, and damn good food at that, in the right hand and a pint in the left. Who could be unhappy with that?
