I don't find breast feeding offensive but it's not something you see everyday. So if you're doing something that isn't seen everyday and get upset if somebody stares that's your problem.

My wife always covers with a blanket, and people still stare. The act isn't a big deal. The kids have to eat just like anyone else, and they lack the ability to cope with hunger so there isn't always the time to find somewhere private to do it. Plus asking the woman to isolate herself while feeding only makes her feel worse about the way she looks.

I don't think anyone has real problems with covered/inconspicuous feeding. It's the "I'm gonna whip it out and not worry about where I am or what people see" nazis that are what cause public issues.

Heck...my wife once fed our kid in a pizza joint.

Just have to ignore people sometimes. My wife could feed my kids and no one would know what the heck is going on.
