More invading Nazis, less "ok lets put my jilted PR lady in charge of my secret space battleship" would be a good start

More invading Nazis, less "in 2018 every nation except Finland has a laser armed space station that can also boost out of earth orbit and fly around the moon, yet we only could send a tiny lunar module there at the beginning of the movie" would have been better too.

You clearly missed the point of this.

No, I get the point, it's just stupid. Some stupidity is great in a movie like this, and I'm all for it, but it went full retard. I mean. "let's just nuke everyone over Helium 3 on the moon because it's already processed!" to prove a point was a terrible, terrible way to show that governments are dumb.

If you wanted to show how dumb the President was, just have the Nazi's succeed despite their limited resources and suspect ideology, then get stopped by the girl and the astronaut. Problem solved. points proven, character driven story resolved, everyone's happy. This movie was half kind of cool scifi story, have Doctor Strangelove wannabe, and the whole thing suffered for it. I LOVED the beginning of the movie even though I knew some dumbness was coming, but never expected it to get as awful as it did, which was really disappointing.

you expected way too much from that movie, I'm watching "kill em all" right now, which to say it's a B movie would be very kind of me, cheesy lines bad acting, in once scene only character was shooting at a group of 20 some odd bad guys and was shooting them from right to left as they were all lined up and when he was shooting the guys in the middle of the group people on the far left that he had not shot remotely close to where falling down in full exaggerated "I'm being shot form" really funny crap.

I understand your point completely, but I've wanted a nazis on the moon movie ever since I read "Rocketship Galileo" when I was in the fifth grade.

You really do not think world war 3 wouldn't break out if an element was discovered that would make a country completely energy independence?

No. because it's on the moon. An international effort would be needed to undertake on a project like moon mining. Certainly, people would not just lob nukes at each other at the first knowledge of it's existence - There are only 2, maybe 3, nations that could do a good job of nuking everyone over this anyways, and it would be a lot more effective to battle for direct control of the mining area - laying waste to the planet and instigating nuclear winter kind of negates the benefits of having a lot more energy I would imagine.
