I agree that Jeffreys will be taken in the 2nd or 3rd round at the lowest. I wouldn't take him in the second and we don't have a third. The problem with lack of separation in college is that D backs don't know how to jam receivers in college. If a guy can't get separation in college he will never do that in the pros where corners are very good at jamming receivers. It does remind me of Jarrett. Except Jarrett was very good in college and could get open easily. But he never could do it in the pros. I don't think Jeffries is worth a high pick in the draft with so many defensive needs. But that is me.

The problem is that there is no substantial evidence to suggest Jeffery was anything significantly higher than this. None. Just one stupid photo and legions of internet idiots like those found on this forum to perpetuate a stupid myth which eventually settles in people's heads-including the media as "fact"

We saw it last year with Cam and I thought your average Huddler would be smart enough to see it transparently this year, but they haven't been. They've simply perpetuated a stupid myth that has snowballed out of control until it came to a grinding halt today when Jeffery showed them the truth.

If you just looked at him on the field he looked heavy last year. Thst photo isn't the "only evidence". Just look at him. He didn't look in very good shape last season.

And that photo is pretty damning. I mean... did the lighting just make his belly flop over his belt line??

I have no reason to hate on Jeffery I am just making an honest observation that he looked slow and heavy this past season. You can disagree and that is fine but I assure you I have no reason to dislilke Alshon.

Jeffrey owned Kirkpatrick in both of their head to head matchups. J. Jenkins got under his skin a little bit but overall, Jeffrey performed at a high level in the best conference in college football against some of the top talent in this draft at CB. He routinely made short catches into long touchdowns with brutal acceleration and a long stride. He probably only dropped 3 passes in 3 years despite less than decent quarterbacks throwing to him. Anyone who gets him in the 2nd is getting a steal. Him going in the 3rd or 4th round is just ridiculous for his talent level. I've seen him in person play 15+ games and he's miles ahead of Sidney Rice at this point.

2 Carolina's troubles at quarterback may have affected Jeffrey's game a bit you think?? Remember when Pickles was the quarterback for the Panthers. Steve wasn't lighting the world on fire was he?

3 I would jump all over Jeffrey in the mid the late 1st round but not where the Panthers pick. But i wouldn't take Blackmon there either.

If he had Jimmy Clausen throwing him the ball last year, it would have been light years better than what he actually went through. The quarterback play for SC was at best....well, atrocious until the last 2-3 games of the season when Connor Shaw, a sophomore that hadn't played much at all, had to step in and get a feel for everything on the fly. Stephen Garcia decided this past season that booze and doing whatever he does was more important than focusing on being a good QB. While inconsistent, in the two previous years when he was throwing to Alshon (and could actually hit the broad side of a barn) ....Alshon was arguably as good as AJ Green....and his production on the field proves that

When someone can get him the ball, he is deadly and has made the most of his opportunities when he was actually targeted.

Its unfortunate that horrible quarterback play has affected his draft stock as much as it has.

Also, sad as it is to say, a good team who knows what they are doing will draft him and gladly steal him from the teams who scoffed at "declining numbers" last year and whatnot.

He's more NFL ready than Melvin Ingram too (who was a 1 year starter) but you won't hear the experts say that either.

he was productive in the SEC vs top notch CBs. he will be a decent WR, doubt he makes it long in the 2nd if he makes it there. his size will give him seperation , based off were the ball is placed.
