Question.. how come Alshon and Blackmon posted similar numbers in the workouts with Alshon getting the better of him in hands/height/and verticle jump and within .5 in the 40 , yet people still act like he can't compare. They ignore what he had to deal with on offense. As well as ignore the lack of competition blackmon had as well as how good his QB was. That just bothers me.

But his, his belly....

Before someone attempts to flame me , note that wasn't a bash at blackmon or a dick sucking of jeffery .. just an honest question.

I'm actually curious now how a player can fall that hard without a major injury.

Did he just stink it up in the final season or something?

Did he magically become slow overnight? I don't get it. Is that not around his usual speed?

He played at 230 lbs and was reportedly slow .He ran a 4.5 at USC proday but was down to 216lbs.Now the scouts are questioning him about his weight fluctuation..I guess you could use the analogy that a woman is nice and thin when you marry her but grows into a butterball within a year after marriage

You might get pood on for necroing a thread, but hell if it isn't hilarious to see all the idiots who badmouthed Jeffery get pood on themselves.

I liked him but the highlight video I linked to in this thread of him going up against the top college CBs at the time and doing well was taken down on youtube.

If we would've signed Alshon, he would've gotten bashed in the Huddle his first year and a lot of u would've been calling him a bust and saying he should be cut. But now he's finally playing well, it's why didn't we sign him. A lot of times, it isn't about the player as much as if the player will fit the system, can immediately contribute and fit the direction and if the team have the necessary coaches and time to get the most out of that player. I don't think that Alshon would've given us anything special the first year and maybe second. Don't get me wrong, I'm a South Carolina Gamecock fan and I loved Alshon there. He's turned it up this year. I hope that we grab a top WR next season. I don't think that we'll have a high enough pick to grab one in the draft though.
