Why not give him the preseason to see whats going on and if hes improved?

why? because he's nice guy?

pfffftttt....

we gain much more by using that cap space to find someone who will actually get playing time than wasting it to see if he can do anything but suck in a panthers jersey.

not interested.

Raiders are the only team I could come up with.

Raiders drafted Terrelle Pryor in the supplemental draft last year.

I actually think Pryor has a better chance as a developmental QB than Clausen.

I rather draft a rookie in the 7th round, re sign Anderson and say bye to Jimmy.

I think its pretty obvious that Jimmy won't be on this team next season, I also think that no one in hell would trade for him.

I'm just happy we didn't trade up to get him

I don't know who to believe anymore regarding our cap situation. Rotoworld says we have to get rid of almost $10 million in cap by mid-March. Just 2 days ago, the Observer said we were at $124 million currently, or about what the cap is expected to be. A while back, I saw elsewhere we were at $127 million.

At this point, unless we hear something from Jerry or Marty directly, I think our exact cap situation remains an unknown.

Will Hurney actually admit failure 2 years in to Claussen being our 1st pick and Armanti being our 3rd pick in the 2010 draft? I doubt it.
He already had to admit to his Everett Brown failure and is looking straight in the face of Otah being a waste as well.

I think Jimmy gets too much hate. He was in a terrible situation his rookie year. He has handled everything with class. He is not as good as fans hoped, but not as bad as most fans think, I think.

Whether or not he is a Panther next season....I will trust Rivera and Chud and Shula to decide that. Either way....I am not going to hate on the guy.

They'll probably cut him March 12th.

It's the 2010 season...he shouldn't have ever seen the field, but that's what happened. Lots of hard feelings sprang from that year. Jerry Richardson didn't even get out of that year unscathed. Unfortunate that the whole Fox, Clausen, and overall belt-tightening happened, but it did and Clausen isn't ever going to get much enthusiasm around here on any level.

Glad that's in the rear view mirror, and I wish it played out a little differently, but I think the long term health of the franchise was the driving factor....I hope Jimmy can get a shot somewhere. It just doesn't seem to be the right situation here.

Don't forget we still have Tony Pike.....not that it's a huge plus, just another factor.
