roddy white, smh.

Roger Goodell reportedly will make $20 million per season by the end of his current contract. That figure set off Falcons receiver Roddy White, who posted his displeasure Monday at the commissioner's salary on his Twitter account.

"How in the hell can u pay a man this much money that cant run tackle or catch," White wrote, posting a link to a ProFootballTalk.com story which referenced the Sports Business Journal's report on Goodell's compensation.

"Roger Goodell is getting over never seen anything like it 20 million for looking over the league with tremendous help I guess the NFL is banking," he continued. "The NFL is not a company it's a nonprofit organization that makes a lot of profit."

When one of White's followers pointed out that Goodell is running the biggest sports league in the country, White took offense.

"Thats the stupidest thing i have ever heard the players make this league dont ever forget that," he wrote.

Several NFL players took shots at Goodell during the NFL's lockout but criticism of the commissioner since last summer's labor agreement hasn't been as frequent.

White, who signed a six-year, $50 million extension with the Falcons in 2009, isn't shy to voice his opinion on Twitter. In 2010 he apologized after ripping the Saints and the city of New Orleans in a series of tweets.

Interestingly, Falcons owner Arthur Blank is the chairman of the NFL compensation committee that approved Goodell's extension through the 2018 season.

One of White's followers asked the receiver in a tweet if he expected to be fined for questioning Goodell's salary.

"I hope not im praying not i need my money," he wrote.

hey roddy, arthur blank is chairman of the committee that approved goodell's contract.

Roddy White, via his wiki:

White had developed a tendency for partying during the early part of his career. His mother actually had to steal his credit cards from him after she found out that he was almost bankrupt less than a year after signing his rookie contract worth over $7 million

Yeah, he's the last person that needs to be giving his opinion on the amount of money the person leading the most successful and profitable sports league in the country is making.

Who cares if you are the individual that's solely responsible for ensuring that your company succeeds. If you aint out there working in that factory making the product that's being sold, you don't deserve to be paid!!!

If that's true they need to spend the money somewhere to make sure they aren't making a profit lol

So what...Why isn't he allowed to speak? I'm sure if it was any of the QBs speaking it would be okay, right?

But, Roddy should know by now that it doesn't matter whether you make minimum wage or millions, those in control will always make more doing less. This is what Capitalistic society is all about.

No, they would still look like complete morons. In the case of Robby, it's even worse because he clearly doesn't have the slightest clue how to manage his own finances. Therefore it is ridiculous hilarious to see him complain about the amount of money another individual makes or deserves.

As for the second bold part,

I think it's both sad and laughable that the ability to run, tackle or catch is what justifies being paid millions of dollars these days.

I agree with Roddy, Goodell is overpaid and a lousy commish. A lot of people on this board could do his job as well as him.

He (or anyone else) has the right to voice his (their) opinion. Everyone else has the right to point out that said opinion is stupid & based in ignorance.

The difference in this case is that the latter folk are right.

No, they make more doing something different & is most often more difficult than one would believe.

Non-profit organizations can make profit anyways. It's just that every dime of profit it makes goes back into said organization to make it run.
