Maybe we should back up a bit.

What part about "last 20 years" threw you off? And you should go let Jerry Rice know he won a Heisman. He'll be thrilled.

ROFL good point. Messed up there. :biggrinjester:

But you can't sit there and tell me that those players I mentioned didn't have an influence on football.

And you can't tell me they've won the Heisman within the last 20 years.

Sad thing is, I'm only on page 3 of my "How to deal with Oklahoma Sooners Fans" manual.

I never said they won it in the last 20 years. You said

"But as for the last 20 years, Charles Woodson is the only guy that has made a meaningful impact in the NFL. Reggie Bush may be the 2nd, but the jury's still out.

Maybe Carson Palmer as well. We'll see."

Sooo that had nothing to do WHEN they won the heisman. Just when they played in the NFL.

And Berry Sanders won it in 1988... that's 20 years ago. Go back to Nebraska and learn your math.

1997 Charles Woodson

2002 Carson Palmer

2005 Reggie Bush (not major but he's pretty good)

I am confused

Let me try to figure this out.....

Rice did not win the Heisman

All players listed did not win it more than 20 years ago, Sanders the exception

Husker is trying to say the Heisman really has not produced meaningful players for the last 20 years, but he would make honorable mention to Woodson, Palmer, and maybe Bush.

BW agreed, only to argue that the guys that won it 20 years or later were meaningful.

Husker then gets confused, because he thought he just said that

BW then reminds him that he was the one that mentioned the 20 years comment

.....and what is the most confusing is Panthro is moderating this

can somebody please help me get my head into this vice and start tightening please??

Here's a spoiler: Page 9 is funny as hell. They address how to deal with them after Choklahoma has gacked another BCS game.
