The hate on this board for Alshon Jeffery is unreal. He will be fine, and I would def. take him on the team for a 2nd.

And your ridiculous reasons for why you don't want a player are laughable, if your gonna say not to a player atleast give a good reason.

3 question

Is Jeffreys a number #1 wr or a #2?

Do we need a WR or Defense more?

What makes him Better then Lafell and Gettis?

I like the positions picked, just not the people.

The trade with the JETS is fine really, until you trade away the2013 pick for a fat wr.

Good ideas just dont like the players.

if wilson was the only thing we got out of the deal then i would see a problem. we got a CB that was good enough for a first round pick last year that has a year under his belt and did actually do well. hasn't proven anything to merit giving up a top 10 pick? that pretty much rules out any draft pick ever.

a WR/TE(i was joking about that) who will never see the field? another

sorry, but i'm not going to respond to anything else.

you aren't being rational.

1. Kyle wilson hasn't proven anything to merit given up a top 10 pick for him.

2. You waste high pick on a WR/TE who will never see the field.

3. Brandon Thomas Sucks IMO. Clemson stop nobody this year.

4. FS won't beat out Martin and we lose Pugh.

5. The DE from VA is Ok I guess. I wouldn't pick him that high.

6. Dude from NC State is MEH!!

7. We really don't need another 5th, 6th, or 7th round oline pick. We have like 5 dudes coming back this year.

I don't love this draft, but my problem is that instead of vastly upgrading 2 or 3 spots (like if we took Brockers and a CB in the second) it's a bunch of minor upgrades and depth. But it does address about every need we have (except K/P).

1. Wilson would most likely start for us and be a big upgrade over Capt, dunno how much better than Hogan he is (since we don't know how good Hogan is). Wouldn't be worth a top 10 pick, but him plus #33, 47, 78 for the top 10 pick (and #105 and a S that could be replaced by a UDFA)? Maybe.

2. lol at Jeffery never seeing the field. He may never be a superstar, but he definitely has the potential to be a quality #2 (like Moose was for us). Easily worth a shot in the 2nd.

3. I don't see how Thompson sucks, he may not be as potentially elite as Brockers or Still but he's a very good run stopper. He's EASILY better than who he'd be competing with at NT, Fua. Edwards could mentor him and Thompson could be a very good starting NT for us after a year or two when Edwards is done. There is more to Clemson's defense than Brandon Thompson, so Clemson not being able to stop anyone doesn't make him a bad player. The Pats couldn't stop anyone either, does Vince Wilfork suck?

4. Iloka would very likely beat out Martin...a lot of people are high on him, not just on this board...

5. Cam Johnson has about as much potential as Mercilus, I think he's got a shot at being a very good Tuck-like DE. Both of them do (him and Mercilus), but they're a little undersized. Calculated risk, worth a shot with our third 2nd round pick.

6. I don't know anything about the LB from NCSU.

When did wilson beat Out Cromarti (who was bad this year)?

Do we need a WR and is Jeffrey's better then Lafell or Gettis?

When you anwser this ? you will see who is being Rational and who isn't.

he was the best WR on the board at that point.

blackmon, floyd, wright, and sanu had all gone. maybe randle would have been a better choice there.

i don't know. i just don't hate jeffery like others do. i don't like him in the first round, but in the second i think he's fine.

yeah, i don't consider this a spectacular draft by any means, but it's solid because it does address multiple needs.

too much trading for me to feel completely comfortable, but still i wouldn't hate it. the team would definitely be stronger.

2. So if you think he will never be a superstar then what are we debating about?

Not seeing the field means I don't think he can beat out Lafell or a healthy Gettis. So when will he be our #2 this year unless injuries happen again? And Is drafting him More important then getting a better defensive player?

3. Brandon Thomas will be a bust that is all.

4. If we draft Iloka I will avatar bet you he won't beat out martin.

who said he beat out cromarti? wilson was the corner covering the slot and he did well there. kept getting better all year. smart hard working. seriously i don't know what the problem is there. he's a massive upgrade from anyone we have aside from gamble and as good as anyone we'd find in the draft aside from claiborne. i like him as well as jenkins and better than kirkpatrick, mainly because he is a man coverage guy and would fit the Panthers D. him having the benefit of working with a very good defensive coaching staff at the jets and having spent a lot of time in a very long offseason working out and being mentored by darelle revis in arizona just makes him better.

as far as jeffery is concerned...it's another big reliable target for cam. needed? maybe not, but it most certainly wouldn't hurt. how can giving newton more big targets be a problem? esp. going into the future?

sorry, but that is completely rational.
