Anyone had it? I'm 95% I do and it freaking hurts. What helps with it (real life - not google or WedMD). My shoes and I are becoming enemies.

Is it the toe knuckle or the big knuckle behind the big toe.

Amazing how you can feel your heartbeat in your toe isn't it.

Rule #1: Always wear shoes...even around house.

Rule #2: Wear stiff shoes...maybe need orthotics.

I had it. It took about 3-4 months for pain to completely go away. Sometime u'd think you pain free and then all of the sudden it comes back and it feels like someone just stuck a knife into ur toe.

I hear running in fit-flops is an instant fix... But a helmet is highly recommended.

Actually, my workout routine consists of bicep curls to get my drink to my mouth.

Big knuckle behind the big toe. I know exactly when I hurt it. I blew out my flip flop (heels) on the street in New Orleans (for the Panthers @ Saints game) about an hour after the best foot massage ever. Then the next day had to wear high-heeled boots on the long walk to the game, during the game (which I took boots off during the game due to pain), and long walk to the store. I couldn't feel my foot.
