Rotoworld belives Brian Quick is top 50 talent

A lotta folks turn this off when they see WR because they are still stuck in Fox ball mode when 3 WRs was enough. Our WRs were on the field more than the rest of the division. THey run vertical routes. We need to rotate 4. Steve Smith will be 33, Gettis coming off injury--we could use a WR. Maybe not our biggest priority, and i think we will get one in the WR rich free agency because somebody will want to play with Cam.

And nobody knows how good Quick will be. I think he will be pretty good, but not for us. I see SF at the bottom of the second about as early as he will go. Just a guess.

We also use 2 TE that will get 80 rec between them. Add that to Lafell and Gettis who can get 40-50 each and the Rb gettting their catches. We have enough for a really good passing game. Stop getting all hung up on this WR poo.

I would take Stephen Hill. That is it. But not in the first or second. So I guess I would not end up with him.

Thanks for illustrating my point. I don't think your logic is sound. just because you proclaim the TEs to be adequate options, you miss the reason. Our 3 WRs were in the top 5 in the conference in snaps. We have a vertical offense, which causes our WRs to sprint about 30-40 yards on the average pass play. By the time Cam hits the fourth quarter, he has thrown 24-30 passes. There is no way we are running at 100% then. Look at the second half productivity. Our WRs were getting figured out for the most part. Fatigue is a factor during the game and toward the end of the season.

Besides, you seem confident that Steve Smith, a 5'9" speed WR will not hit the wall at 33. You seem confident that Gettis will be 100% and have progressed into a #2 WR. And everyone thinks that Lafell, with his mediocre (at best) numbers will be enough. You need to keep a WR or two in the development mode. They take time in each system.

I am not saying we need to draft a WR in the second--never have said that. However, to suggest that we are set at WR because we have TEs? Please.

Maybe if the defense had stop anybody or the offense didn't have to go 80 yards to score all the time . They wouldn't be figure out or Fatigue in the 2nd half.

This maybe just my opinion but this Offense having a full offseason and a defense that get s stops and short field for the offense will help more then drafting a wr in the 1st and 2nd round. Getting better play on Special teams will help as well.

We were the only top 5 offense with a rookie QB, Learning a new system, with no Offseason. We will be better on offense just with Cam having more exp. and rep in this offense.

If Brian Quick played for any other school besides App St (especially if it were UNC), you all would be beating off furiously over him

I watched film on Brian Quick and he reminds me a lot of Vincent Jackson. Big body (6'4 220lbs), fast and amazing body control. He one of those people who will go and get it. Its almost impossible to cover him 1 on 1. Dude got 2,000 yards receiving in 1 year while double covered with #1 corner and safety at all times.
