I can't wait until Huddlers stop worrying about other QBs possibly being good. Such a complex the Huddle is starting to get.

This... It's like we can't just be happy we have a great young franchise QB for the future... we have to crap on any other player that is also projected to succeed. RGIII, Luck, Barkley next year can all be great QB's. I'm sure Cam is not worried about either one of them, and neither should we. At the end of the day we will let Cam's play on the field and wins speak for themselves.

I also hope we get away from this Cam is God, while any other young or other QB is trash and just worry about us.

I get from Cam's personality the he is confident enough in himself not to worry about other QB's and their comparisons to him.... True Swag. I hope that swag of his starts to rub off on some of our fan base.

Just posted Rich Eisen's run (with a 10 yard head start) in the first post.

Comparing someone's measurable skills coming into the pros to Cam and then using that to project their rookie season is setting yourself up for failure.

Sure, if we measure RG3's college numbers and combine results it looks like he might be even better than Cam. But you could say that about dozens of QBs over the years and none of them were as good as Cam was this year. So it's a pointless exercise.

Cam was unprecedented. It was impossible to project him having this good of a rookie year no matter what people tell you they predicted.

Never, unless you're Cam, and it's Saturday, and you're playing the Bucs the day before Christmas.

even so its not like he was running without pads/helmet, unscathed in an absolute straight line (he wasnt exactly coming out of blocks).

and i think u proved my point... it happens maybe once a season for a player in particular.

Other teams have good players too. Even some great quarterbacks.

Big deal :sosp:

Luck or Griffin could come in and break every record Newton set, but so what if they do?

The Lombardi is the only thing that really matters to me. I get why the media cares about the other stuff, but I honestly just don't.

Its like he has eyes that work 360 degrees.

I've seen him now in 14 games at Auburn and in 16 games at Carolina and, except for the times he leaps in the air and throws self-control to the wind, I've never seen him take a solid hit that HE didn't choose to serve.

I guess you closed your eyes or have selective memory.

He was getting crushed in the championship game against Oregon and had to get X rays after the game.

He wasn't choosing to take the hits I saw during tat game.

He's good enough on his own and doesn't need stupid statements like this to inflate his abilities.

That mass of humanity at the beginning is the greatest QB ever.

I don't think i've ever seen a fanbase so insecure about their QB.

I was *AT* the game.

And, no, he wasn't getting "crushed"... jeebus keerist.

And his injury in that game was lower-back soreness when an Oregon player hit him while he was on the ground. If any x-rays were taken, they were purely pre-cautionary.

You can call the statement "stupid" all you want, but Cam was so (and still is) disliked, I'm sure you can pull up on YouTube all those "big hits" on him, right? The haters sure as hell wouldn't let those kind of things not be immortalized.

Looking forward to seeing all these "big hits" you seem to have seen. CAN'T WAIT.

LOL@ former Luck groupies/Luck is perfect/Anybody but Cam posters in this thread begging us to not criticize/microanalyze him the way they did Cam last draft. Our fans should treat these new guys the same way our QB was treated. As we were told last draft, theres no malicious intent, this is part of the process. Plus when youve been hyped as much as some of these guys you better live up to it or deal with the fallout.

Guys, you're all missing the point: we should draft Rich Eisen for WR. Go back and look at how fast he explodes out of the gate. . .I mean, sure, he technically had a 10 yard head start, but I think that translates to the next level!
