I have a question.....

I don't see what the big deal is with this situation...If I were on the pill, my insurance pays all but like $5 or $10 for it..my employer pays 100% for my insurance, in turn..my boss would be basically paying for my birth control.

Why all of a sudden is this such a huge situation?? Am I missing something??

sorry if this is a stupid question

Should you be expected to pay for someone's Trojan condoms? Or your company's insurance?

I don't understand why contraceptives should be covered under insurance. Insurance should only cover necessities in life unless you choose to pay extra. It's sort of like with cosmetic issues. Health insurance will get your cavities fixed and help with that root canal, but why should it cover teeth whitening?

And the woman is a slut. She chose to openly discuss her promiscuous sexual behavior, so I see no wrong in branding her a slut. If the costs are such a burden, maybe the ***** should keep her legs shut.

so they want all insurance companies to stop paying for BC period? Nothing..no more..not even partial coverage?? If that's the case..then make it a lot cheaper and make it over the counter..is that an option?

BC if f*cking expensive..some of them cost over $1000 to put in if your insurance doesn't cover it..wouldn't help fund it be preventing unwanted pregnancies which in turn would result in fewer possible abortions???

I'm not trying to debate the issue per say...I'm just trying to understand it better.

the issue is that if you work for St. Lukes Catholic hospital, which is a company owned by a church, the church does not want to pay for birth control because they dont "believe" in it and doing this somehow is against their convictions.

This has nothing to do with your convictions; if you agree with them, you don't have to get it.

All this really is is an election year gimmick to paint Obama with that socialist brush again. Everyone knows Catholic women use birth control overwhelmingly anyways, it's just all the all male clergy that cares about this.

I enjoy how probably when people here think of "contraception" in this case, 99 percent of us probably think of "the Pill" because it's prescribed and monitored by a doctor and dispensed by a pharmacist like you would use in, say a health care plan, but G5 goes for the over the counter penis wrapper comment every time.

that question is a little unfair..condoms are sold over the counter, you don't have to go see a dr to get them and they're a poo ton cheaper than the pill is

and when people who can't afford birth control have kids they can't afford, you'll also bitch about WIC, food stamps, and welfare.
