This announcement is so sad that it's funny. It's like me saying I'm going to cut back on my smoking. Out of every carton I buy and smoke I'm going to throw away one cigerette. It's a start.

Actually, it would be more like throwing out one cigarette out of every 369,000 packs you buy... it's a start...

I have an idea. Charge 10 bucks a head. Let Barry's fans line up at the White House and he will pose with you.

For 25 bucks a head, he will smoke a cigarette with you.

Man, I'm on to something here...

How much for a........awww forget it.

He's challenging his cabinet to come up with breakthrough ideas. Janet Napolitano came up with the brilliant idea of buying office supplies in bulk. Holy fug! How did she think of that?!?! It must have taken a think tank months to come up with such an idea.

I lol'ed.
Talk about pathetic.
I would lol even harder watching some of these people actually try to run a business with their own money.

I am cutting back my spending.

This year I will buy one less bag of sunflower seeds.

That should do it, yep.

It's truly sad. The state of American politicians is worse than the housing market.

I guess it doesn't help that in my last job, I worked under a budget analyst for 6+ years and did some of our budget, capital project requests and all the purchasing so my mindset was always to try to save the company money if possible even though it wasn't MY money. Shouldn't that be common sense? As well as a sense of responsibility?

Now if I don't make good fiscal decisions every day, we go under...no bailout. I have no problem with that because again, it's my responsibility.

If anything pols should feel MORE responsibility to take care of other people's money than their own since it affects millions of people vs. just their own family.

Remember during the first debate when they asked the candidates what they would do to adjust to the economy? McCain said boldly "Spending freeze." Obama hemmed and hawed and mumbled something about how you shouldn't use a machete when a scalpel will do. Later in that same debate they talked about the Russia/Georgia conflict and Obama said "clearly we need to rebuild the Georgian economy".

Now, do you remember all the Zods of the world telling you how Obama won that debate?

Remember...people were ridiculed when they pointed out the earmarks dollar values in his recent spending bills, but we're supposed to be estatic and praising Obamassieh if he saves $100m.

Jake Tapper and an AP reporter took Robert Gibbs to task...and Gibbs simply rants on and on...basically not answering the question and texting Chuck Todd on when the next baseball game is that they can attend together.
